So what’s different about me as a photographer?
I always work on location – I’m not tied to a studio. I work with my clients out in their world – where they do their work!
With more than 25 years of working with clients, I quickly put people at ease in photo-shoots, and that’s really important to me because that’s when we get the BEST images. Having your photographs taken by me isn’t hurried or forced, it’s not uncomfortable – it’s not like the fashion shoots you might have seen on TV … “bend here”, “do that”, with loads of people looking at you – it’s just the two of us, with ease, grace and lots of fun!
I don’t take “headshots” (or mug-shots as some people call them!) in these sessions – headshots do have a purpose for Avatars, but there’s so much more that I offer. The way that I work is that during the shoot you’ll be in your “business power” – how you feel when you’re at the very best in your business … remember that feeling when:
- you’ve just won a sale?
- you’ve helped a client to get the result they wanted?
- you’ve done a great presentation to a room full of people?
- you get a great testimonial?
That’s how I take photographs of people … I’ll even get you to bring in testimonials from your clients and read them so you get into that great feeling!
You probably won’t believe it right now, but when you have a photo-shoot that’s professional, where the photographer understands who you really are. talks you through the process and gets pictures of you at your best – those pictures will show you that you have the confidence to be more visible – and all as a result of having the photo-shoot!
Don’t worry, the shoots are really enjoyable – many of my clients dread having their photograph taken (before they work with me), but by the end of the session they want to do it all again … so don’t be surprised if you feel that way too!
The shoot itself will transform you and your business
At the moment you probably don’t give yourself enough recognition for what you do …… you don’t recognise your business power and you don’t see it. You don’t acknowledge it or give yourself enough time to enjoy it – but when you have photographs of you doing what you do best and being in your business power, you’ll suddenly realise that you need to be doing it more – and you’ll have those photographs as proof which you can then use as sales tools, 24 hours a day!
When people see you being really strong in your business power and sharing what it is that you do they’re going to want to work with you – that’s the power of great photography!
That’s why I’ve created something a bit different to your usual photoshoot……
I work with my clients before the shoot to understand where they are now, their journey, their concerns and most importantly, where they want to be in business.
We discuss what you want to show in your images, the types of locations and the message you want to deliver. We get to know each other and build those important elements of trust and friendship.
On the day of the shoot we relax over a coffee before we get started, and then it’s down to business, having fun as we go and making the whole experience as enjoyable as possible. To finish off the shoot we’ll grab some fun shots if you like that you can use for your Blog or personal social media pages. We’ll be together for around 3 hours.
After the shoot I’ll edit down the images and then we’ll review them together – either in person or on a phone call, and make sure that we’ve captured everything that we set out to do.
Out of the 500+ images shot on the day you then choose the 50 best images that represent you out of 500+ that I’ll take. Then I’ll provide you with a DVD with those 50 images as high-resolution, copyright-free jpg files that you can use however you want to promote yourself and your business.
Once you have these photos there’re yours to use as many times as you like – you own them!
